Panasonic Lumix Repair

The camera worked perfectly until last week, when the camera would not show an image on the screen. When I took a ‘photo’, no image was captured. The photos that had already been captured in the camera could be brought up, it is just the taking of new photos.I had changed the battery with no change. I tried to troubleshoot but had no success. I reviewed the settings, but found no problem there. Any ideas?

BTW, I originally took the camera to the camera store and they told me they would have to send it away for repair, and that I was looking at anywhere between $100-150 to fix.

I had the same problem and I just fixed it myself!

I: (1) removed the six screws from the camera; (2) opened it up; (3) simply jiggled the orange ribbon cable; (4) made sure the internal plug-in was in tight; and (5) closed the camera and put the screws back in.  As soon as I turned it on, IT WORKED!!!
