Beginners will be able to produce excellent results just by pointing and shooting whilst the various features available will still make this an interesting camera for those who want to be more creative.

The Canon PowerShot A75 has 3.2 Megapixel and 3x optical zoom to bring subjects closer. 13 different shooting modes are available to experiment with including a new ‘Scene mode’ which allows entry to further modes such as Fireworks, Foliage, Beach and Snow.

You can record up to 180 second movie clips, complete with sound, which can be played back on the 1.8″ LCD monitor. The A75 can also record up to 30 second VGA clips for high definition playback on a television.

If you do not have a PC, connection to any Canon Direct Print or PictBridge compatible printer will let you print your images and, when connected to a Canon Compact Photo Printer, ID photos and movie clips can be produced.

For those with a Windows PC the Print/Share button simplifies uploads.

You can arrange photo albums, crop photographs and adjust contrast and brightness easily by using Canon’s ZoomBrowser EX (for Windows) and ImageBrowser (for Macintosh).
